Working with wind and scent. Working in the environment, we use the wind to carry the scent to the dogs and watch them find it. If you’ve watched your dog out in a walk, you’ll have seen your dog air scenting, sticking their nose in the air and sniffing hard. So at Scentwork Scotland, we have worked with this natural behaviour, seen what fun it is and have constructed this into a separate activity that will benefit dogs.
If you do Scentwork, it will help with going to source, if you don’t it’s a great enrichment activity that you can do in any environment with wind.
This 4 hour workshop teaches you and your dog to work with air and scent. We’ll be starting indoors, then going outside.
You’ll learn about how the environment affects scent, how it moves when wind is driving it and have fun watching your dog find it!
