This mini-workshop introduces you and your pup to the joys and benefits of Scentwork.

Any dog of any age can do it; after all, it’s what dogs do naturally!

What is Scentwork?

It’s you and your dog working together to find a novel scent in a different environment. It’s a low impact activity, so it doesn’t put a strain on growing joints. It’s inexpensive, and you can do it in any environment; plus, it calms puppies down!

Why is Scentwork good for puppies?

When doing scentwork, your pup works their brain, using their nose to work out the problem, and this provides enrichment, which is so important in their development to becoming a relaxed adult.
In this workshop, you’ll learn about how your puppy’s nose works, how to search for food in a search pattern, and the importance of play and imprinting scent. If you wish to take your scentwork journey further after the workshop, you can attend our Scentwork Scotland novice courses.
